IT WAS all fun, fun, fun at Needham Lake’s Day for Play event on Sunday.
The sun was out and the day was warm as families enjoyed the Mid Suffolk District Council event in Needham Market.
The children’s festival held at the lake was a huge success with entertainment and activities to keep even the big kids happy.
The fun-filled day, funded by Mid Suffolk District Council, Big Lottery Fund and Activities Unlimited, was jam-packed with hands-on activities and funny performances.
For one day only, the lake boasted a giant cardboard kingdom, junk funk and a spider mountain.
The event, in its second year, also put on entertainment for all the family including stilt-walkers and tightrope walkers.
Children and their families could have hands-on fun working alongside artists in messy and creative workshops including clay, tie-dye, raft making, or even making mini gardens to take home. And for the under fives there was a special early years activity, with puppetry and stories about animals and the countryside.
