Imran Khalid Khan, 39, of Bury St Edmunds, is alleged to have committed five offences in Woolpit in 2007 and seven in Brandon in 2011.

The Brandon incidents are alleged to have involved a female aged under the age of 13.

Dr Khan appeared at Ipswich Crown Court for a preliminary hearing before Judge Peter Thompson.

He will return to court on July 13 for a plea and case management hearing.
