AN EVENING of live music featuring a special haircut has raised more than £500 for charity.
Sixties rock and rollers The Raiders, who re-formed last year for a special charity concert, put on a show at Needham Market Community Centre on Saturday in aid of Cancer Research UK.
A crowd turned out to dance the night away and they also watched as Tina Scott, wife of band member Rod Scott, had her head shaved – raising more than £500 for the charity.
The couple and the band have raised more than £3,500 for the charity in the last year.
They decided to begin fund-raising after losing an original member of The Raiders and a granddaughter to cancer.
