NEWMARKET Racecourses has confirmed Madness as the first of six acts to perform at the newly named Adnams Newmarket Nights in 2012.

The baggy trousers wearing ska band, who first rose to fame in the early 80s, are set to make a popular return to the venue on June 22, after last performing to a sell-out crowd back in 2010.

Madness, described as having a ‘brash salt of the earth carnival vitality’, are recognised as one of England’s greatest pop groups and after 30 years together and nine studio albums, they will bring their unique sound and sense of style to the Adnams Newmarket Nights stage.

Adnams Newmarket Nights are the perfect way to kick-start the weekend, beginning with an evening of horse racing and ending, when dusk falls, with a spectacular open air concert.

Tickets for the gig start at £12 for children and £22 for adults from 01638 675500 or online at
