JOHN Glover’s work has been shown in London’s National Portrait Gallery but from tomorrow you will not have to travel so far to see it.
John’s portraits and landscapes will be in a one-man exhibition at the Edmund Gallery in Bury St Edmunds until August 18 .
Born in Scotland in 1945, John now lives in Ley Road, Barrow. He began as a freelance book illustrator, but in 1980 decided to concentrate on portraiture.
His work has covered subjects ranging from commissions to paint professors to tramps, as part of a series he is doing on homeless people. They have been exhibited in galleries from Bury to Dumfries, including at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Royal Society of Marine Artists.
John has a website at www.johngloverportraits.co.uk.
