BEER fans and ale drinkers turned out in force at the weekend for the 15th annual Stowmarket festival of beer and brewing.
The 14th century Abbots Hall barn at the Museum of East Anglian Life played host to more than 60 ales and a number of ciders from all over East Anglia.
The festival, which ran from Thursday through to Sunday, is one of the museum’s most celebrated annual events.
The event, organised in association with the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra), was a hit with crowds of people who turned out to enjoy a pint, some live music and the beautifully sunny weather.
Museum director, Tony Butler, said the event was popular because of the town’s past: “Stowmarket has a long history of brewing.”
