Weird and Wonderful Wood is returning to Haughley Park in Wetherden, near Stowmarket on Saturday and Sunday May 14 to 15.

This fair is a celebration of many aspects of woodwork, showcasing the talents of specialist woodworkers, and described as the most magical day ever.

It attracts over 8,000 visitors from far and wide over two days, including people who return each year and this year it will play host to a replica 46ft Saxon Ship, a shepherds hut and some fascinating musical instrument makers, a horse logger and a wood carver from Nigeria.

Workshops - for all ages - are free and include archery, den building, willow weaving, papermaking, pole lathe turning, gypsy flower making, withy work and tree climbing in nets.

The fair is open from 10.30am to 6pm on Saturday and 10.30am to 5pm on Sunday. Tickets are £8 adults, £6 concessions. Children under-12 £4, under-3s free.
