TWO West End performers showed theatre school students in Mildenhall what it’s like to be stars of the stage.
Richard Lawrence and Amy Pemberton, who have both starred in several West End shows, including Dirty Dancing, Jersey Boys and Footloose, spent a day teaching students from Kimberley Ann’s Theatre School the tricks of the trade.
The professionals taught the young hopefuls a dance routine which was performed to a medley of songs from hit musical Hairspray.
Kimberley Ann, owner of the theatre school, said: “They had a brilliant day it’s been a brilliant experience for them.
“They had the chance to sing and dance.
“They had an insight into the professional dancing world.”
Fifty children aged between seven and 15 spent the day at the Jubilee Centre, in Mildenhall, learning songs and dance routines from the hit musical.
At the end of the day, the students performed the routine they had learnt to their parents.
The talented stars also held an evening workshop for adults from the area who were taught steamy routines from Dirty Dancing, in which Richard has recently performed.
