Lots of rural demonstrations and activities lined up for country fair

Thousands are expected to flock to the showground at Rougham Airfield this weekend for the West Suffolk Country Fair.

Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, the show will host all day entertainments across the weekend with something for all the family.

For animal lovers there will be birds of prey and owl displays, ferret racing, the Goat Show and demonstrations of working dogs and horses as well as other rural demonstrators.

Also featuring this year are fighting knights and a medieval village, full scale steam engines and vintage vehicles, children’s entertainment and marquees with arts, crafts and gifts.

On Sunday the Companion Dog Show will take place with all proceeds going to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The show is open from 10am to 5pm each day. Admission is £7.50 for adults, five to 16-year-olds £3 and free for under fives.
