The Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds is climbing to new heights for its Christmas pantomime this year.
Jack And The Beanstalk will show at the theatre from November 27 to January 10.
Written by Chris Hannon, the well loved panto will be directed by Karen Simpson, the theatre’s artistic director.
It follows the adventurous Jack, who makes a fantastical discovery when he plants a handful of magic beans and a gargantuan beanstalk takes root.
Oliver Mawdsley will play the hero Jack, with Louise Olley as Jill. Leonie Spilsbury, who appeared in the theatre’s production of Mansfield Park in 2012/13, returns as Wendy and the Giant’s wife, and James Parkes, who shone last year as one of the Ugly Sisters in Cinderella, will again step into the Dame’s shoes.
