Have you got what it takes to sing your heart out to classic film songs on stage? Then the Apex in Bury St Edmunds wants to hear from you.

The venue is looking for young volunteers from choirs, youth theatres, schools and performing groups to take part in its show, Magic at the Movies, on Sunday, August 2.

Featuring live musicians and the chance to sing along to much-loved songs from animated films, from the Lion King and Shrek to Frozen and An American Tale, the spell-binding show is sure to entertain the whole family.

The show’s producers are looking for talented local singing groups to join West End stars on stage, performing alongside them in two iconic numbers.

It will give children the opportunity to perform with professionals and have an exciting on-stage experience.

James Williams, producer, said: “It is really important to me that we have local talent in the show. What better way is there for young aspiring performers to experience West End magic than by starring on stage themselves?”

Your group should have at least 20 members aged four to 18. If you’re interested in taking part, contact info@magicatthemoviesonstage.com by Saturday, June 20.

There will be two performances of Magic at the Movies, at 2.30pm and 6pm on August 2. To book tickets contact the box office on 01284 758000 or see www.theapex.co.uk.
