Bury alt-blues trio Horse Party are releasing their debut album Cover Your Eyes on April 7
The band, made up of singer/guitarist Eleanor Lou, singer/guitarist Seymour Quigley and drummer Shannon Hope, are launching the album at the Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds on March 1.
Seymour said: “We recorded everything in one day and one evening at the Punch Studios in Ipswich to keep the album sounding live.
“We recorded it on tape as well to keep that live spirit.
“We wanted to record the album while the songs are still fresh... and then we can make self-indulgent concept albums in the future.
“This album is for Shannon Hope’s jacuzzi fund so can people please give generously.”
The band have a string of gigs lined up following the release of the album including dates in Stowmarket, Cambridge, Norwich and London.
Seymour said the band clicked as soon as they started playing together in 2012.
He said: “As a band we became tight really quickly.
“We have got this strange kind of thing where we just clicked as musicians.
“It seems bizarre we haven’t played together for our whole lives.
“We just seem to know what is right and there are hardly any disagreements.
“We are very lucky because not every band has that.
“Some bands feed off the conflict but fortunately we don’t.”
