Bankers’ bonuses, Plebgate, Old Etonians in government - it seems that the subject of class and money is never far from today’s headlines.

Now trio Something Happened take a revealing and often hilarious musical look at how we look up - or down - on each other with a new show A Touch of Class, launching at the Diss Corn Hall on April 11.

Drawing from music hall to folk and pop, they include classic songs made famous by Noel Coward, Victoria Wood, Ray Davies, Bessie Smith and Marilyn Monroe, as well as hidden-gems from less well known composers.

Something Happened’s line-up includes Terrance Blacker, who contributes some of his own songs, virtuoso guitarist Derek Hewitson and sultry vocalist Tracey Baldwin.

The trio’s last show Taboo-Be-Doo!, a celebration of 100 years of politically incorrect songs, appeared at the Kings Head Theatre in Islington and festivals around the country.

A Touch of Class is a feelgood show that will make you laugh - and think.

Tickets are £9 and concessions £8 .

Tickets are available from the Diss Corn Hall box office on St Nicholas Street, on 01379 652241 or online at www.disscornhall.co.uk.
