PAUL Smith insists there is little wrong with his Walsham-le-Willows side, despite the Summer Road-based outfit being stuck on a three-game losing run.
The Willows' last Ridgeons League Premier Division win came on January 5, against Harwich & Parkeston, but since then the village side have obtained just two points from a possible 15.

"We have been playing a lot of the top teams in recent weeks and have only lost by the odd goal," said Smith.

"If anything, we perhaps need to be more ruthless in front of goal because with the chances we have created in the last five games, we should have more points than we have done."

Walsham, who have already played Soham Town Rangers, Kirkley & Pakefield and Mildenhall Town this year – all in the top five – were due for another tough test at second-placed Needham Market tomorrow.

However, with the Bloomfields-based club in FA Vase quarter-final action, the fixture has been rearranged for Tuesday, April 8.

After squandering a one-goal lead against Mildenhall Town on Saturday to eventually lose 2-1 (match report on page 75), the Willows were dumped out of the Churchmans Cup by Woodbridge Town following a penalty shoot-out on Tuesday.

Two goals from striker Will Brown helped Walsham claw back a two-goal deficit to earn the shoot out, only to lose 4-2.
