WALSHAM-le-Willows FC have a battle on their hands to keep influential midfielder Paul Musgrove at Summer Road.
The Willows have received a seven-day approach from fellow Ridgeons League Premier Division outfit Mildenhall Town for the 26-year-old left winger, who impressed in the 1-1 draw between the two sides last month.

The former Needham Market player, who is currently holding talks with the Recreation Way-based club, has starred in the Walsham's first-ever season at Premier Division level, scoring seven goals so far.

Walsham team manager Paul Smith said, "I would like to think that Paul will stay with us. He is a Walsham man, a very talented and important player. He is guaranteed first-team football here and I hope that will be a deciding factor.

"However, if he decides that Mildenhall is the right move for him, I will not stand in his way."

Walsham had their league game at Kirkley & Pakefield postponed due to a waterlogged pitch on Saturday and, without a fixture this weekend, Smith is keen to organise a friendly match for Tuesday in preparation for next Saturday's home clash, against Lowestoft Town.
