Football: Cusack joins Walsham squad for vital home test
NEW signing Andrew Cusack will go straight into the Walsham-le-Willows FC squad for their home test against struggling Swaffham Town tomorrow (ko 3pm).
The 19-year-old left-back, who joined from Thetford Town on Monday, will fill the gap left by Paul Musgrove who moved to fellow Ridgeons League Premier Division outfit Mildenhall Town last month.
Team manager Paul Smith said, "Andrew is a talented young player with pace and a good left foot. He will certainly add competition for left-sided places."
Meanwhile, the Summer Road chief has targeted no less than three points from tomorrow's game, as the Willows look to eliminate any possibilty of relegation to Division One.
"It is unlikely we will get dragged into the relegation dog fight but a couple more wins will guarantee our safety," Smith added.
Right-back Chris Pollard is struggling to be fit with a hamstring problem, while fellow defender Neil Gooderham is unavailable.
Walsham return to action on Wednesday, with a a rearranged league trip to CRC (ko 7.45pm).
