Pink wigs and wacky costumes brought colour to Nowton Park as 3,500 women took part in the Bury St Edmunds Race For Life.
Women of all ages walked, jogged and ran the 5km course in two races to make the most of a sunny Sunday.

The morning race, which is in its eighth year, sold out within a month of opening as cancer sufferers, survivors and supporters did their bit to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.

Sophie Ellis, 16, from Battisford, who has a very rare cancer, was chosen to start the morning race which her mother, Lynn, 51, was taking part in.

See video footage of the race here.

It looked a great Race For Life, but should have had more photos of the participants so that we could find our relatives that took part.

As a woman who took part in the afternoon race, I feel it is a shame that the BFP has no footage of the PM race. Did the first, second and third places in the afternoon not warrant a mention?
