Everyone is talking about it – and we're at the very heart of it.
Every time a Bury Free Press reporter makes a cup of tea, the bangs and crashes on the old Cattle Market site can be seen and heard – from our kitchen window.

So we'll be sharing that news – and those views – with you on a weekly basis.

If you want to keep up to date with the news as we see it from the biggest and most controversial building project in Bury's history, don't miss the Bury Free Press every Friday.

We're the paper for Cattle Market news.

This week, a new wall for Debenhams' loading bay was taking shape between the Debenhams building and Hanchett House, while work continued on the outside of the store.

Builders have also made a start on the first floor of the superstructure to the retail block between the public venue and the Bury Free Press offices.

And behind the venue, timber frames to the apartments at the top of 'block A', in the north-east of the site, can be seen jutting into the skyline.
