There were fond memories exchanged when Methwold Primary School celebrated its 20th reunion and 150 years of the school on Saturday.
People came from around the country to swap stories and catch up, including one fomer pupil, Elizabeth Blake, who celebrates her 100th birthday in July.

May, as she is known, now lives in King's Lynn but used to live in Methwold and was landlady at the Bird in Hand pub, in Beck Row, during World War Two.

She was presented with a bouquet at the reunion on Saturday and flowers were given to Pam Watts, Linda Feetham and Val Jackson for organising the event.

Some £200 is expected to be raised from the reunion for the school to provide Christmas activities for the children.

Cliff Flogdell, who is 80, is chairman of the reunion group and recalled his schooldays between 1932 and 1942, when a covered wagon collected children from outlying areas and when youngsters often had bread and lard for lunch.
