Bright students from Stowmarket High School are flying high after winning the western area finals of the Young Enterprise Competition.
After battling boardroom struggles and dramatic resignations, the nine sixth formers have beaten the odds to win the coveted award.
Andy Teviovtdale, a business and economics teacher at the school who guided the team through their project, said the youngsters were delighted with their win.
"They have done exceptionally well, they have really competed through the whole thing," he said.
"The award is fantastic for them and has given them a real lift before their exams."
Briefed to create their own company, develop and manufacture and market their own products, the group created a firm called Potential, supplying hand-painted pots and mugs.
By selling their goods at craft markets, car boot sales and church fetes, the students aged between 16 and 17 also sold shares in the firm at 50p each to make a £230 profit.
Mr Teviovtdale said: "They all pulled together and got through with teamwork."
The group will now go through to the eastern regional heat of the competition next month and could win a place in the national finals.
