Publicists for singer Amy Winehouse have denied that she has checked into a rehab clinic in Bury St Edmunds.
According to a national newspaper this week, the 24-year-old star was said to be receiving treatment for her drug and alcohol addiction at Focus12, in Risbygate Street, which previously treated comedian Russell Brand and television presenter Davina McCall.
Earlier this month, the diva was rumoured to be flat-hunting in the town in order to move closer to her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, who is serving a jail sentence at St Edmunds Hill Prison, in Stradishall.
But a spokesman for Winehouse this week denied the rumours, adding: "Unfortunately the residents of Bury won't be enjoying Amy's company."
