A new commander has been appointed at Wattisham Airfield – Col David Turner, pictured.
He takes over from Col Neil Hutton.
Wattisham Airfield is now the sole base for operational Apache Attack Helicopter in the UK and Col Turner said: "My role is about taking some of the burden for the running of Wattisham away from the regiments, allowing them to focus on their core job of supporting operations, principally in Afghanistan."
