Four-vehicle smash on A140

A motorist has been freed from a vehicle after a four-car collision.
Firefighters from Stowmarket, Debenham and Ipswich released one person who was trapped as a result of the crash, which happened at 4.45pm last night on the A140 at Mendlesham.

The road, which was completely blocked, has since been cleared.

One person was taken to hospital by ambulance, although the extent of the casualty's injuries are not yet known.
