A former West Suffolk Hospital doctor accused of misconduct is being investigated by the General Medical Council (GMC) after allegedly signing off his own training assessments.
Peteris Loza, who worked as a foundation year two doctor at the Bury St Edmunds hospital, will face a GMC fitness to practise panel next week.

It is claimed Dr Loza signed a number of his training assessments in the name of other doctors and nurses.

He is also accused of registering for an assessor's account using another doctor's email address and submitting a form he claimed was completed by another doctor.

Dr Loza will answer to claims his conduct was misleading and dishonest in front of a GMC panel in Manchester next week.
