Two teenagers were arrested by police in the early hours of Tuesday morning after officers were called to reports of a stolen car in Wetherden.
Residents had reported people acting suspiciously near garages in White Meadow at 3.25am and police searched the area and stopped vehicles in the neighbourhood.

Officers tried to stop a red Ford Fiesta but it made off at speed and police then followed it to Stowmarket, where it crashed into a bollard in St Edmunds Court. The car then drove into Gainsborough Road where the occupants ran off.

A 19-year-old man from Ipswich has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop for police and drink driving, while a second 19-year-old, also from Ipswich, has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop for police and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
