Needham Market life peer Baroness Scott is in the running for the presidency of the Liberal Democrat party.
Ros Scott, who was appointed a life peer in 2000 and sits on the Liberal Democrat benches, is to officially launch her campaign to be elected party president on Monday.

Baroness Scott, who lives in Needham Market, served as a Liberal Democrat councillor in Suffolk for 10 years.

Her current work in the House of Lords focuses mainly on her work as frontbench spokeswoman for the Department of Local Government and Communities.

As part of her I'm 4 Ros campaign she has launched an online survey to find out what people see as the priorities for the party.

She said: "I've always believed our members and activists are the ones who define what this party is about."
