FANS of the Mildenhall Fen Tigers could find out the fate of their club as early as next week after a licence application has been submitted to the BSPA.
Owners of Mildenhall Stadium, RDC Promotions, have sent in the application to the sport’s governing body in a bid to get the Mildenhall Fen Tigers up and running for the 2011 National League.
The move comes just a week after an agreement was reached between RDC Promotions and the potential new owners of the club, believed to be a former Fen Tiger and an ex-promoter, over renting the stadium.
Dave Coventry, of RDC Promotions, said: “We sent the application on Friday and hopefully we will hear a response back within the next few days. If the news is positive then we would look to hold a meeting for the fans to meet the new promotion later this month.”
Last Friday’s National League AGM was postponed by officials. It will now take place on either January 29 or 31.
