Suffolk’s Bury Kings were among Europe’s top sides competing for the Tchoukball European Winners Cup.

Ten of Europe’s top sides gathered in Leeds, including the current UK champions.

Bury’s squad boasted an impressive array of past and present international players at senior and junior level.

However, so did all the other participating teams and Bury finished third in a difficult group, ending any possibility of reaching the final, to eventually finish in a respectable sixth place.

Nevertheless, Bury succeeded in defeating the current Czech champions Rumcajska Jicin and German champions Halver, but lost out to Italian side, Rovello, and runners-up Chambésy Panthers from Switzerland.
