Hogg looks to plan B in order to maintain Bury’s unstoppable run of form

Bury St Edmunds’ coach Gavin Hogg has revealed his side may need to adjust their style if they are to continue their winning run.

The Haberden outfit clinched their 11th consecutive bonus-point victory on Saturday with a hard-fought 65-19 success over Chingford to maintain their perfect form in London One North.

Bury are now preparing to entertain 11th-placed Beaconsfield tomorrow (2.15pm) and, after seeing numerous teams attempt to disrupt his sides attacking style, Hogg conceded they have had to look at alternative strategies.

“We have realised that being top of the league, teams won’t allow us to play our way and we will need to adjust,” he said.

“Teams have been making games more disjointed so the key is to assert our intensity and make our possession count, which will be the case tomorrow.

“They are dangerous, but we are confident of a victory.”
