WEST SUFFOLK Athletics Club took its largest turnout to Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds, for the third round of the Suffolk Winter League.

Mac Delo claimed fourth place in the Senior race while team mate Simon Dawson was not far behind in Sixth.

The ladies were led home by Christine Anthony in 78th overall and fifth female, followed by the ever improving Maureen McCarthy was just eight seconds behind her team mate in 83rd.

Three juniors came in next with Justine Anthony 11th, Katie Duncan, 21st and Emily Baker 27th for second, third and fourth juniors respectively.

New member, Fiona Tooley, found the going hard but persevered to 41st and Dawn Mason completed the team in 58th.

This gave the women a fine second place in the team event.

In the junior race for under-17s, Michael Bartram was third overall while Sophie Tooley was 11th overall and first under-13 girl.

Finally, Mikayela Sealby and Megan Newton completed a clean sweep of the under-13 girls medals, finishing sixth and seventh female, ahead of many older girls.
