Norwich City VI 2 Bury IV 1

Bury’s promotion hopes took a serious dent after suffering a narrow defeat away at Norwich.

For the first quarter of the game Bury dominated, but were unable to break down Norwich, who broke to break the deadlock.

The visitors regrouped after the break and levelled through Josh Phillips,
only for Norwich to regain
the lead after a defensive
mistake, gifting the hosts victory.

Sudbury IV 1

A disciplined display saw Bury overpower Sudbury to clinch an impressive victory.

With Adrian Moulam, John Grinham, Norman Ballard, Chris Blake and Kristian Jennings all performing strongly, Bury were soon into their passing game to dominate possession and territory.

The early pressure told as Moulam opened the scoring, but Sudbury recovered well to equalise shortly after.

However, Bury regained the initiative as Moulam struck again, before second-half goals from Grinham and Cameron Sealby sealed it.

Despite a spirited display from the visitors, Bury proved too strong for Harleston.

In fact it was the Magpies who enjoyed the better first-half opportunities, with only a number of vital saves from Rob Shane keeping the scores level at the break.

However, a second-half blitz from the hosts with goals from Oli Heard, Keiran Williams, and Alex Heard transformed the match to send Bury second in the league.
