Riders race against the elements in series test

Hundreds of mountain bikers converged on Thetford Forest on Sunday to compete in the second round of the Thetford Winter Enduro competition.

The four-part series, which takes place across Brandon and Thetford, pits riders against the elements in 10 dedicated categories, including a two-hour and four-hour race for men and women, a two and four-hour veteran men’s race, as well as a junior race and fun ride.

Sunday, January 27, will see the third round of the series head back to Fire Road, Brandon Park, where the competition kicked off in November.

Race Winners: Two-Hour Female: Amelia Cambridge (Velo Club Rutland), Two-Hour Male: Lewis Parker (Gipping Racing Team), Two-Hour Junior Male: Will Kearse (VC Revolution), Two-Hour Junior Female: Danielle Riley, Two-Hour Veteran Male: Andy Manning (Team CCN/Streetlife Cycles), Four-Hour Female: Laura Sampson (Gipping Race Team), Four-Hour Male: Tom Wragg (Flatoutcycles), Four-Hour Veterans Male: Paul Ashby, Fun Female: Yvonne Penfold (Beds Road CC), Fun Male: Martin Bone.
