Pippa’s Wimbledon adventure comes to early end

PIPPA Horn’s junior Wimbledon adventure has ended at the first hurdle after a first round defeat to Aldila Sutjiadi.

The West Harling youngster was making her second appearance at SW19 after being given a wild card entry, but couldn’t get past her Indonesian opponent, losing 6-1, 6-4.

In the Norfolk Cricket Alliance Premier Division, Diss bowled Ashmanhaugh and Barton Wanderers out for 84 on their way to a 59-run victory.

Old Buckenham missed the chance to close in on the top two by losing to Norwich by four wickets.
