JACK Egmore was Combat Kickboxing Academy’s stand out performer at the IKF light continuous competition in Aylesbury on Sunday.

Egmore was part of the 25 strong squad, many of whom were taking part for the first time, that came away with 11 wins, 11 losses and three draws.

In his bout, the youngster came up against a much more experienced fighter but managed to claim victory, stopping his opponent in the third round with a broken nose, deeming him the winner.

There were also strong performances from Leon Dunnett, Lloyd Dunnett, Charlie Pearse, Lee Parrott.

Leon Dunnett out worked his opponent in a classy performance, officials recommending him for a title shot this year, while namesake Lloyd out manoeuvred his much heavier opponent before sending him to the canvas with some heavy straight combinations to claim victory.

There was double success for Pearse who won not only won a hard fought boxing bout against his older opponent, but also followed that up with another victory in his kickboxing bout.

Meanwhile, first time fighter Parrot brushed aside his eight-fight opponent, winning all three rounds,

n Jake Gladwish’s IKF Southern Area Eliminator title fight has been put on hold until September 22, due to injury.

CKA’s next outing is the BLCC to be held in Kent in July, where a further 23 fighters will take part.
