IT IS now or never as far as Bury Town FC's BGB Southern League Midlands Division promotion push is concerned.
Tomorrow, seventh-placed Town face an eagerly-anticipated trip to Sutton Coldfield (ko 3pm), before hosting Arlesey Town on Bank Holiday Monday (ko 3pm).
The Blues continue their action-packed programmes with a trip to Leighton Town on Thursday (ko 7.45pm).
With six games remaining, Town – unbeaten in 17 league outings – are just three points off a play-off spot.
And, team boss Richard Wilkins has targeted nothing less than nine points from the next three games.
"It is now or never," said Wilkins. "We are on a very good run and we are playing some good stuff but it is vitally important that we do not slip up.
"It is great to be in the mix after a long season, but we must we make sure that we are in the play-offs in six games' time."
Sutton Coldfield will provide a stern test for Wilkins' side as the Birmingham-based outfit are also in with a shout of making the top five.
"If we can beat Sutton Coldfield, then that should set the tone for the next two matches after that," said Wilkins.
"We really do have six cup finals left and we have to be ready for each and every one of them," he added.
The Blues continued their sparkling end-of-season surge this week following a memorable 2-0 victory against local rivals AFC Sudbury on Saturday and a 2-2 draw against runaway leaders Leamington on Tuesday.
"It would have been better to have won both matches, but overall I have to be happy with four points," said Wilkins.
"We played some good football and deserved at the very least a point against Leamington."
Wilkins also paid tribute to the 600 plus crowd that turned out to cheer his side on to victory at the weekend.
"It was great to see such a large crowd at Ram Meadow and hopefully those supporters will continue to follow us as we bid to gain promotion."
Meanwhile, Town will be without in-form full-back Russell Short, who begins a two-match suspension. Stuart Walker will deputise at right-back.
Captain Tom Bullard and fellow centre-back Sam Nunn remain out with cheekbone and eye injuries respectively. Gavin Johnson and Roscoe Hipperson will continue their partnership in the heart of defence.
