Seventy-three-year-old West Suffolk Wheleer Ron Back posted 29 minutes 39 seconds in the Eastern District Cycling Association’s 15-mile Open Time Trial last Wednesday and followed that up with 60.35 in the Veterans’ Time Trial Association’s 25-mile event on Saturday.

Clubmates David Howes (59.55) and Tricia Goulden (58.01) posted personal bests.

n Wheelers Jim Greenwood (26.32), Mark Eastwood (26.23) and John Steed (27.23) all recorded times in the Norwich 10-mile open time trial.

n In the club’s 10.1-mile 2up time trial on Thursday evening, Andrew Brinkley and Dale Sturman were fastest round (22 minutes).

n Sam Asker’s average speed of 22mph over 25 miles earned him a top-10 finish in the under-14 category of the National Youth Circuit Championships.
