More than 1,000 children from across the county took part in their own Olympic and Paralympic Games in Bury St Edmunds on Friday.

The second Suffolk Sainsbury’s School Games, amid brilliant sunshine, saw children compete across 10 different sports across three sites.

Children tried their hands at: athletics, Paralympic sport boccia, cricket, gymnastics, judo, netball, panathlon, squash, swimming and tennis.

West Suffolk Leisure Centre and King Edward VI Upper School hosted all but the cricket, which took place at Nowton Cricket Club.
