RYAN Clay had a fantastic Winter Championship, winning two gold medals and picking up the junior 200m breaststroke trophy.
The 15-year-old started his short course championships with the 50m butterfly, swimming the heat in 28.72secs.
He went on to swim the 100m breaststroke, achieving 1.11.32 in the heat qualifying for the open B final.
Clay was third in the B final in an improved time of 1.10.75 and, as top junior, won the gold medal.
He was fourth in the 200m breaststroke in a championship best time for a junior of 2.31.10, before going on to swim in the open final, maintaining his fourth place overall in a much-improved personal best time of 2.28.75.
As top junior, Clay won the gold medal and received the boys’ trophy.
