Another poor turnout of athletes saw West Suffolk Athletic Club finish last of the four competing clubs in their first match in the Southern Athletics League.
There were just three females and five males taking part, but their excellent individual results showed just what could be achieved by a full team.
The ladies contested 11 events and came out in first place in six of them, as well as taking second in a further two.
It was a similar story for the men, who also took first place in six and second in two of their 11 events.
As well as good wins, there were a number of new personal best performances, together with the now customary club records in both discus and hammer by Jake Allen, who makes a habit of breaking his own records at regular intervals.
