PIPPA Horn’s junior Wimbledon adventure has ended at the first hurdle after a first round defeat to Aldila Sutjiadi.

The West Harling youngster was making her second appearance at SW19 after being given a wild card entry, but couldn’t get past her Indonesian opponent, losing 6-1, 6-4.

In the cricket, Bury St Edmunds gained their second consecutive victory in the East Anglian Premier League after a five wicket victory away to Saffron Walden.

New recruit Abhishek Jhunjhunwala, stole the show on his debut, taking three wickets as the hosts set a target of 107, before hitting 70 (no) to guide his new side to victory.
