The last week’s fishing at Larkwood has been excellent with a rod average of 4.5.
The fish have been well spread over West Stow lake and have been happy to come to static dry flies such as Bobs Bits and Clinkhammer.
Another prolific fly has been silver ribbed Pheasant Tail Nymph.
The average weight of fish is around the 2lb-mark with 15 fish between 3-5lb being taken.
Fishing has also been made interesting by numerous sightings of a very large brown trout.
This is a good time of year for brown trout as they will start to feed hard over the next couple of months to get through the winter.
