Hall and Priors keep up title battle

Moreton Hall A and Priors A remain locked in battle at the top of West Suffolk League Division One after recording their seventh wins of the year.

Reigning champions Hall maintained their one-point cushion over Priors as Leanne Peters and Alice Sadler helped them to a 50-39 triumph over Burwell.

Melanie Woods and Ellie Curry starred in Priors’ 28-22 defeat of Suffolk Police. There were also wins for Haverhill A and Moreton Hall C.

Jetts A remain on course for the Division Two championship after Kate Ferdinand and Holli Jarmaine helped them keep up their 100 per cent record with a 43-24 win over Jubilee A.

Second-placed Priors B slipped six points off the pace after a 26-26 draw with Cockfield A.

All the table-topping sides won, meaning Thetford B still lead the way in Division Three, Jubilee B are at the summit of Division Four and Stowmarket Fusion have a 100 per cent record in Division Five.

In Division Six, Jetts D and Jubilee Jays have both recorded seven wins from seven matches after Molly Robson and Charlotte Orris helped Jetts D romp to victory over Cockfield E, 80-4, and Ciara Warlmsley and Ellie Johnson were named players of the match in the Jays’ 56-16 victory over Jetts E.

Jetts I, Thetford I, Thetford II, Moreton and Jetts II all won in Zena’s Junior Division.
