Glory for Goulden with new record

Tricia Goulden set a new West Suffolk Wheelers and Tri Club women’s club record in Saturday’s Eastern Counties Cycling Association’s ECCA 50 Time Trial from Westley Waterless Village Hall in Cambridgeshire.

She stopped the clock in two hours, two minutes and 58 seconds to finish second women, while Ron Back completed the course in 2.07.11.

Two events were run in Little Whelnetham — an under-18 race where five riders took part, and in the adults’ 42 took part.

In the under-18s event, Lewis Elson won with a time of 24mins 28secs and in the adults Ben Mickleburgh from Velo Velocity.co.uk won for a second successive time with 21.44.
