Future talent on show at Stonham Barns

The golfing talent of the future was on display at Stonahm Barns over the weekend as they staged the Junior Player Championship.

The under-10 girls’ trophy went to Stowmarket’s Rio Everitt with an impressive score of 35, the third best overall score of the day, while 13-year-old Tegan Arlow clinched the under-15s’ trophy with a score of 37.

The main prize of the competition went to James Cook, who claimed victory with an excellent score of 31 (two over par)to finish ahead of Ryan Turnbull who was a further two points behind, to win the under-12 boys’ trophy.
