The indoor bowls section of the Risbygate Club hosted a match between the National President’s Select team and a Risbygate team.

With Bernie Millard, the National England Indoor Bowls Association (EIBA) president, also a long-standing Risbygate member, this was a fitting occasion in what is also the centenary year of Risbygate Club.

Risbygate president Kelvin Morton congratulated Millard, who is only the 40th National EIBA President out of 320 clubs, on his year of office, which fittingly coincided with the club’s centenary year.

The result of the match was a convincing win for the visitors, who won four of the six rinks and by an overall score of 130-104.

On Saturday, Risbygate indoor bowls section held its annual Christmas Triples and raised the sum of £345 for Marie Curie Cancer Care, in Bury St Edmunds, thanks to the generosity of its members.
