Dolphins make a splash in County Championships

Thetford Dolphin’s swimmers put on an impressive performance in the Norfolk County Championships to come away with 38 trophies.

Among the winners were Alfie King (11), Alice Fasey (10), Amie Copp (15), Daniel Clark (11), Georgina Dickenson (13), Grace McGill (16), Jacob Clarke (14), Liam Levy- Twomey (15) and Macaulay Harvey (14).

The Club’s youngest trophy winner, Fasey, had a fantastic Championships, swimming against tough competition to achieve club records in the 400m freestyle, 200m IM, 200m freestyle and 200m breaststroke.

The club’s other nine and 10 year olds, Toby Dickenson (9), Isaac Clark (9), Emma Malcolm (10), Daniel Penny (10) and Hattie Clarke (10), missed out on any trophies, but achieved personal best times in 23 of their 25 events.

Other Thetford club Record Breakers were King, Clark, Alexandra Ashley, and Grace McGill.
