James Denny won both races to win the Junior Regatta event at Lackford Lake on Sunday.

The competition — held by the St Edmundsbury Sailing and Canoeing Association (SESCA) — put on two races for youngsters from the SESCA, Mildenhall Sea Cadets and Newmarket Sea Cadets.

In the first race, Denny led from the start to take a comfortable win, with his brother Richard finishing in third.

The 13-year-old then won the second race, with his younger siblings Richard (third) and Denny (fifth) also finishing well.

The trio’s efforts at the weekend saw SESCA take home the team prize.
