A glorious day greeted the large crowd that assembled for the Suffolk Point-to-Point meeting at Ampton on Sunday.

Sixteen-year-old Lottie Ingleton was cheered on by her Culford School friends and delighted parents Nigel and Topsy Ingleton, from Harkstead, to take the Ladies’ Open on King Du Berlais.

King Du Berlais was bought from the Turner family, the course landlords, who were among the first to congratulate Ingelton on her first success in the saddle.

Ed Turner, on Frankie Anson, also had his first win of the season in the opening Members’ Race.
