The starting pistol will sound for the sixth annual Stowmarket Half Marathon, in memory of Joe Cox, on Sunday, March 24 (11am).
Online entry is open for the race, which once again will be chip-timed to ensure accuracy for personal bests.
The event will raise valuable funds for the chosen charity, the Multiple Sclerosis Trust, whether by running in or marshalling.
Tomlinson Groundcare will be supporting the event for the fourth year, and the start and finish lines will be at its premises in Buxhall.
The race, which takes in some of the region’s most scenic views, is open to ages 17 years and over, and is suitable for racing wheelchairs.
To add to the excitement, a junior race, of between one and three kilometres, will take place at 10.15am. Entries for the junior race will be taken on the day only.
Prizes for the half marathon include £50 for the first male and female runners to cross the line, second male and female will receive £25 and third male and female runners £10. There will also be age and club category prizes.
