Motocross ace Elliott Banks-Browne has set his sights on further Arenacross Tour glory after gifting himself the perfect birthday present.
Just a day before his 25th birthday, the Bury St Edmunds-based racer, clinched only his second tour win with victory in Newcastle on Saturday to move up to sixth in the standings and close the gap on the top three.
And having matched his achievement of last year when he won on his birthday weekend to seal a maiden triumph in Liverpool, Banks-Browne is confident of building on his momentum, starting in round six at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow tomorrow (3pm).
“Getting that first victory of the season was definitely a big relief,” he said. “I’m absolutely over the moon.
“I’ve had some bad luck over the season and so I was more determined than ever to get a victory.
“It was also great for the team. They have put a lot of effort into me and so is it is brilliant to repay them.
“I’m definitely a lot more confident going into the upcoming races and with the momentum from last week, hopefully I can keep closing the gap to the top three.”
